Find a desktop CNC machine for your intended stock sizes, cutting tasks and workspace. Fabinity’s SainSmart and Genmitsu listings include router configurations and packages with different working areas and equipment. Compare travel, spindle details and supplied items before selecting a machine. CNC work also needs suitable workholding, cutting tools and a plan for chips, dust and noise. Listed prices include VAT; machines carry the manufacturer’s warranty. Confirm uncertain material or accessory compatibility before ordering.

Choosing the right equipment and materials

Plan the work envelope

The cutting area is only one part of a CNC setup. Allow room for the machine, stock, clamps, cable movement and access for setting up the job. Tall workpieces and long tools reduce available clearance, so check the vertical travel as well as the horizontal dimensions. A machine suitable for a thin sign is not automatically suitable for a deep pocket or a large fixture.

Match spindle, tool and stock

A compatible cutter must fit the collet and suit both the material and the operation. Check the published spindle specifications and the machine manufacturer’s material guidance. Never infer machining capability solely from spindle power. Tool geometry, rigidity, workholding and a suitable toolpath all affect results. Use the manufacturer’s recommended starting settings and make a controlled test cut before committing a finished workpiece.

Budget for a working setup

Check whether your chosen package includes cutters, a spoilboard, clamps, an enclosure or extraction accessories. Do not assume these are supplied because they appear in a demonstration photograph. You will also need a way to create suitable toolpaths and transfer them to the machine. Review the software and connection requirements, and plan safe supervision, dust management and access to the stop controls.

Before you order

Compare the selected CNC machines listing, not only a category photograph or headline price. Review the specifications, package contents and stock status together. Keep any existing model or part references to hand when asking for advice. Fabinity shows GBP prices including VAT, with delivery options and charges confirmed at checkout before payment. Our phone team is available Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm UK time, excluding UK bank holidays.
